Small and micro market cap tokens on the Avalanche Network are a niche area of cryptocurrency investing. Each protocol has a unique value proposition and utilization for its token. This article is merely discussing tokens within a range of given market caps, these are by no means financial advice or recommendations to purchase.
I am a big fan of finding “blue chips” early. The iconic 100x or even 1000x is possible when the market cap is low. While these situations are not likely, and it is more gambling than investing, it’s a lot of fun. Some projects have bigger value propositions than others.
Micro Cap tokens for this article are tokens with a market cap below 1 million dollars.
The micro-cap tokens selected for the analysis here are Kassandra DAO (KACY), Moremoney Finance (MORE), Teddy Cash (TEDDY), Echidna Finance (ECD), and nCASH. Some of these tokens have had their own dedicated articles about the use cases and value propositions, some are brand new.
Nitro Network is building a decentralized and private communication network powered by IoT combined with LoRaWAN and 3G/4G/5G. Who knows if it will actually come to fruition, but it’s low enough to gamble some AVAX for myself.
Teddy Cash is a collateralized debt protocol with the stablecoin TSD. This protocol is run by Snowball Finance. I selected this token, not for its innovation or good communications (it severally lacks both), but rather for its super micro-cap and relation to a well-known team in the space.
Moremoney is a collateralized debt protocol with the stablecoin MONEY. this protocol enables a wide range of collateral. BTC.b, sAVAX, yyAVAX, CAI/AVAX LP, and GLP. I am a big fan of this project and team, they have their own dedicated article diving into particular strategies.
Kassandra DAO is a decentralized Index Fund creation platform that serves to develop, manage, and deliver high-quality index funds. Their two main funds consist of aHYPE and K3C.
Echidna Finance is a Platypus Finance optimizer with a strong focus on delivering high-quality user experiences in both depositing assets and voting to access bribes. This protocol has a ton of potential if Platypus Finance succeeds, the only downside is if Platypus does not sustain or improve volume. This is something that I will be monitoring closely as time goes on.
Small Cap tokens start in my book at 1 million dollar market caps and upward to ~10 million.
The small-cap tokens selected for my analysis here are Pangolin (PNG), Yield Yak (YAK), Vector Finance (VTX), Elk Finance (ELK), and Platypus Finance (PTP). Some of these have been discussed in previous articles and some have not.
Elk Finance is a DEX and cross-chain bridging service with a lot of integrations. The amount of chains you can bridge to is pretty impressive for a smaller bridge project. The service is high quality and works well on the AVAX side. The DEX to buy ELK for bridging is also very smooth on AVAX as well.
Vector Finance is an optimizer for Platypus Finance and Trader Joe. This gives users access to increased yield opportunities from multiple platforms of pools and provides the revenue share for VTX to higher hat single-protocol optimizer protocols. LVTX gains access to bribes for Platypus Finance. This gives you access to MORE, yyAVAX, YETI, and PTP.
Platypus Finance is a neat AMM that offers super low slippage swaps on stablecoins and minimal impermanent loss worries for liquidity providers on the exchange. PTP is locked to earn vePTP. vePTP represent votes in the system, the votes direct emissions to liquidity providers. The system incentivizes PTP to be locked up by liquidity providers to earn more fees. Vector Finance, Echidna Finance, Yield Yak, Moremoney, Yeti Finance, Defrost Finance, Benqi Finance, and Teddy Cash are all native Avalanche projects that integrated and participate in PTParty.
Pangolin (PNG) is a cross-chain DEX operating on Avalanche and Flare. PNG can be staked to earn fees from the platform. It is utilized as farm rewards and governance rights. Pretty standard utility but above average team. Personally excited to see what else they are building.
Remember this article is not financial advice and I am not a financial advisor. This is a micro-cap and small-cap token introduction to tokens on AVAX.
